Folding Instructions:
- Place
your card in front of you as shown in the picture, pop all
cut lines apart before you start..
- Fold
along valleys and mountains as shown, beginning with the top
and bottom center valley folds. Continue with the outermost
folds and work toward the center of the card.
Tip: Push forward from behind with one hand and "pinch"
along the fold from the front with your other hand.
-
Gently fold and press flat as if the card were folded, open
and close this piece to make sure it all works properly.
- Card
may be embellished with rubber stamps, chalks, pencils, and
handmade paper. It is easier to do this while flat.
Slide scrap paper under the cutouts to keep the edges neat.
- Cut a
backing piece for the card, the exact size of each 3-D card
is 9 1/2" x 6 3/4". A backing of 9 3/4" x 7" will give
a nice little border around the card and still fit in the
envelope. A metallic cardstock makes a nice touch and
coordinates well with the metallic envelope liner.
- To
adhere backing to pop-out card, keep the card folded and
apply double-sided tape to the areas that do NOT move with
the 3-D design. Attach one side at a time, getting the
borders even and the center fold together. Attach the
second side with the backing piece folded over. This
is where the fit is the most important. Open and close
to see if other sections should be attached and tape them
down as needed.
- To assemble the optional envelope
available, fold on the score lines. To add the liner,
dry fit first to see the correct positioning. Peel
away about an inch of the bottom (untapered) end of the
liner piece. Place the liner next to the score line
and center on the envelope. Press and smooth, then
remove the paper from the liner's adhesive back little by
little, smoothing your way to the top flap of the envelope.
Fold in the sides, fold the bottom up, attach with double
sided tape where they meet.
