Welcome to this month’s Remarkable Blog Hop.  And greetings from the fabulous onStage event and party Stampin’ Up! is throwing right now in Salt Lake City!

I have a fun little card for you today, one that proves you might need to look at your punches from all angles.

And for this post I am looking at our fun Balloon Bouquet Punch (item # 140609 $18.00)

It is already a cool punch since you get two sizes of balloons in this one punch… perfect for those festive birthday or congratulations cards we all need from time to time.

But what else can that balloon be?

Well, how about a bird’s egg?  A robin’s egg to be exact.

All I did was stamp a Lost Lagoon balloon and snip off the bottom.  Then some soft suede spots using the extremely versatile set Gorgeous Grunge.

How do you like the bird’s nest from the Work of Art stamp set?  Looks like a nest to me!

And how about the very subtle texture in the sky?

bird egg 3I took another stamp in the work of art set and some Soft Sky ink and just stamped all over the background.

Gave it some interest without being too ‘flat’.

Here is a close up where you can see the fluffiness that stamp added.

Next I added some punched leaves and little flowers and perked them up by folding and adding the Gold Wink of Stella glitter brush.  Love the touch of glitter with that!bird egg 2

So here is the finished card.

Could be for a baby or just a ‘just because’ card for a friend.

We should really send more of our cards, they make folks HAPPY!

I enjoyed making this card, I LOVE to look at my craft stuff differently and make my punches more useful!

Hope I inspired you to think outside that box and make something unexpected that is FUN!

Next up is the blog of Tracie Langley, let’s see what fun thing(s) she has for us this month!
