Welcome!  This is a fun blog hop using ‘Anything But the Holidays with Holiday Catalog Product‘.

This was an easy one for me to do.  Mainly because Stampin’ Up! has done the work for us!

I have been making a lot of swap cards this month and I am just in love with using our beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP) to help me get started on new card designs.

How does the paper help me?

Well, the first thing is that the colors in the DSPs are a palette chosen by srtists.  Some colors I would have never ever thought to put together!

Like the colors in the Naturally Eclectic Suite here.  They work great together.

Would I have thought of putting them together?  Never in a million years.

See how much time that saves?  lol

All you have to do is read on the back of the DSP pack what colors are included.  Gather those colors of cardstock together, and the inks.  Get your matching ribbons and embellishments.  If the DSP is in a Suite, grab the stamp set that coordinates with it.

BOOM!  There is your perfectly coordinated group of products to choose from.  Now just figure out the color layers, stamps, etc t use on THIS project.  Your mind will start to envision many projects when you really get going and that is the FUN part.  😉

OK, no, I did not use the Naturally Eclectic Suite for this card, but I did use the amazing Crinkled Seam Binding in Night of Navy that is in that suite.

Thinking about non-holiday cards, I had wedding in my mind with the shimmery foil papers in the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP.

These are extra thick one sided papers all with the metallic designs on just one side.

The designs are wonderful, BUT… there are no other cardstock colors to clue you into what colors will look good with the foils.

So I get to decide on this one.

Winter weddings are wonderful opportunities to put deep, rich colors with gold and silver.

And since I just love that shiny seam binding ribbon, putting that with gold foil and Whisper White cardstock was a beautiful and classy look for this wedding card.

Here is the stamp set that goes with this Suite.

Yes, it has some seasonal and holiday stamps in there, but look what else the Stampin’ Up! designers have added to this set.

Giving it the wedding option is a fabulous way to make this whole suite much more versatile!

I love the script font and I love the message, too.

Well done, SU… again!

I also grabbed some of our Gold Foil paper and the Gold faceted gems.

And a fun new leaf punch from the holiday mini that will be a go to punch for me for SURE!

Making the gold foil the mat piece on the card front really tied the DSP into the design.

You might think it seems wasteful to cover up so much of that wonderful foil.  But where do you think I punched the gold leaves from?  Yep, lots of ‘holes’ in that gold foil mat piece, but it is all good.

So here is my ‘anything but holidays’ card.

And it was nice and easy using the flexibility that is built into this product suite already!

This to me is the look of a beautifully decorated & fancy wedding gift box and the script sentiment below it is just perfect.

I ‘drew’ the veins in the golf leaves with my Engraved Bone folder, a multiuse tool for ALL crafters.

AND since I am the ONE in the USA that engraves them, I have lots of beautiful bonefolders in my studio.  Get yours HERE, and get a jump on team onStage or Holiday gifts, too.

Thanks for stopping by, now enjoy yourself at all the other blog hoppers and there are LOTS!
