Have you ever had a project just call your name?  I felt that way when I saw the Botanical blooms bundle, I just loved the colors and couldn’t wait to play with the thinlets!

After Christmas, my family made our semi-annual trip to Ikea to ‘see what is new’.  It takes a long time to browse that whole place, right?  I hit the frame dept HARD, came home with all kinds of cool things even without a project in mind… at the time anyway.

One thing I got was a 9″x9″ shadow box frame that I just knew would make a fun project.  But what?

After I got my Botanical Blooms Bundle, I had my project and couldn’t wait to put the project and the shadow box frame together.

Here is the scoop on this bundle.  You may be used to Stampin’ Up! combining a couple of coordinating products together as a bundle and saving you 15% if you buy both.

Well, THIS bundle is even better, it combines THREE coordinating products!  The stamps, the thinlets AND the matching Designer Series Paper!

Want MORE good news?

The combined bundle price on these items are $51.75 which is just over the magic number of $50 during Sale-a-Bration time (now thru March 31st, 2016).

That means that you can grab this great bundle, save 15% when you do, AND snag a free SaB item of your choice when you do!  SWEET!

There is even a Vellum Pack that coordinates with the Botanical blooms as a free pick.  Awesome!

So back to my project.  🙂botanical blooms dsp

This is a picture of the DSP pack.

Stampin’ Up! makes it really easy to know which colors you need to have to match the colors in the pack.

#1-They LIST them.  Right there on the back of the package.  Here they are…

Coordinating colors: Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Whisper White

#2 They have this really handy special coordinating cardstock assortment package available.

The one for this suite contains 24 sheets –
8 sheets each of 3 colors: Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow

Add a package of Basic Black and you have what you need to make tons of awesome cards.

A little bonus here… these a great colors and patterns for MAN cards.  Those are always tricky cards to make, but here you go!

So, I gathered the colors of cardstock that matched, cut a ton of great flowers with my big shot and the thinlets in the bundle.

Actually, I got so involved with making this project, that I didn’t even take pictures as I did it. Winking Botanicals

Just got all caught up in the fun of layering these babies and adding a little shine to the flowers with the clear Wink of Stella glitter pan.

I did go back and give you a tip on how to color the inside pieces in this pic, but now on to the finished piece.

It is so pretty in person and it really went together easily!  botanical frame w-watermark
