Remarkable blog tour icon 2016Welcome to another Fun blog hop and you make your way around the blogs of some of my talented friends in my extended team of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators.

We are loving the new holiday catalog here, and isn’t this just the best season to get down to some serious crafting?

Well, yes it is, but that doesn’t mean we don’t still have a TON of stuff to do.

Quick but really cute crafting ideas are probably going to come in handy, I know they do for me.  And that means WASHI Tape!  Washi tape has totally become my best friend lately, the assortment packs that Stampin’ Up! sells are so bright and colorful.

The coordinate with all our inks and cardstock of course, and many also match the product suites… which means Designer Series Paper and stamps, pucnhes and more.  And of course they look great with each other.  USE that and use them together to create patches of color on your creations!

I was just at a great quarterly meeting of a Facebook Group for North Carolina Demonstrators this past Friday and Saturday.  Our state is so full of beauty, it is fun to travel to gather with our SU! friends and share our creativity and knowledge.

And we usually have fun ‘swaps’ were we make several of the same item and swap with each other.  I had signed up for a couple including a holiday tag swap.

I am a huge fan of using the Stampin’ Up! products to help you decide on the colors to use in your project.  EASY!

For this project, I wanted to use the new holiday washi called Presents & Pinecones Designer Washi Tape $8.00

I love the colors in these!  So I chose to go with the Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy Cardstocks.  branches

The wonderful new stamp set that coordinates with this suite of products, called Christmas Pines.

I used the matching stamp set and thinlets called Christmas Pines, and stamped in Emerald Envy on the tag.

Then there is a second stamp for adding highlights.  I stamped this in Versamark and then sprinkled some Emerald Envy Glitter Stampin’ Emboss Powder on the highlights.  AWESOME!

Now an added branch cut with the thinlits from a piece of Emerald Envy cardstock.  I intentionally left the top of the branch unattached for dimension.

finishing-the-tagNow to add the washi and finish the tag!

The washi tape is also great to hold down the branch end as well as being colorful.

There was only room for 3 of the designs on this little tag, but don’t worry, those other two will get used soon.

I just added the washi, rounded the corners and mounted this piece on a 2″ wide tag punched with the scalloped tag topper punch.

The little banner is from the Home Sweet Home stamp set that also has matching framelits including this cute little banner cutout.

I stamped it in Cherry Cobbler to match and of course the banner needs to be popped up.

Now to add the fun ribbon combo from the suite, 3/8″  Ribbon Silky Taffeta Combo Pack with one in Emerald Envy and one in Cherry Cobbler.

And here are my finished swaps!

So since the theme of this blog hop is supposed to be Halloween, here is my Halloween washi tape project which just happens to be my ‘shoe box swap’ for this same NC demos event this past weekend.  This time I used the Halloween Washi tape to add the great color on a fun little card.mummy
This is another easy and quick project, and it went over pretty well at the event. Just add the little mummy fellow and some bats and oh yeah, some of the super cute enamel sticky dots in the corner.
You have coordination, color, popped out things, and shiny accents and it is quick and easy. And guess what?  I even wrote up how to do this card! Here are the instructions for you to download and print out.  Just click here.
I have another fun and quick washi tape idea for you soon, so I hope you will subscribe to my blog to not miss anything… some excitement coming up with all the new holiday products!
For now, on to the blog of Connie Diebler to see what she has for us!  The products I used in my projects are below the blog hoppers name list.  Check them out and just click to order from my Stampin’ Up! store.  Easy… get to the fun!
